The woodcutter (or in Dutch ‘t Houtzagertje’) is one of those Gems in Amsterdam Street Art. This tiny sculpture was placed by an unknown artist some years ago and can still be found up to this date. Another scuplture of this artist is the blue man with the violin. Also referred to as ‘the man that tries to catch tram 10’. There was some speculation that the artist might be Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, since it takes some influence to actually get the scupltures placed on these places. Nevertheless. No one knows.
